What happens when you turn on LTE UE ?
It goes through Lte cell search procedure as part of initial access

Above Video covers LTE Cell search procedure as follows :

• Synchronization by reading SSS and PSS
• Read System Information Block (SIB) and Master Information Block (MIB)
• PLMN Selection
• S-Criteria

After that it will perform Random Access Procedure followed by RRC Connection setup coming up in next video
After it has completed RRC Connection setup it will perform LTE ATTACH
